Bad to Worse cont.

She felt weird going back to class after the whole thing. Luna looked at the clock and realized that she was in lunch period during this time, but she wasn’t hungry and she didn’t want to go back into that room.
“Hey Luna!” She was so scared of who could be calling her name. She turned around and it was Aaron.
“Hey Aaron, what’s up?” She hasn’t really hung out or spoken with Aaron what felt like months, she knew that she needed to keep her distance from him. She stayed calm for everything.
“Nothing, just wanted to check on you. You were very quiet this morning on the bus, you okay?” Was she okay? She didn’t want to tell him anything because that would be letting him back in and she didn’t want to do that at all.
“Yeah, I had auditions for the drama club today so I was just focusing on my monologue and song. Thanks for asking, but I am good.” Liar!
“Oh wow! How did you do? Can I hear it or are you still warming up for it?” He is caring, but she can’t let him in her life like that anymore. He has a girlfriend, Luna didn’t want to be the cause of the break up … again. She didn’t like that idea.
“It went well, I kinda have a messed up voice right now luckily it wasn’t an issue while I was on stage. Maybe another day? I should go though, see you on the bus.” Luna walked away with her head held high but she didn’t know if she was going to stop and look back to see him still standing there waiting till she came back. She turned the corner and stopped at the corner to catch her breath. She wanted to look back so badly but she knew there was no point in going backwards in her lessons to herself. She knew that being around Aaron would cause issues and she already had to deal with the chaos from Tabitha’s jealousy.
Luna walked toward the cafeteria and the next thing she knew she saw everyone leaving for their next period. She didn’t want to go to the next class but she also knew that if she skipped her next class, she knew she was going to get told on by Heather since it was gym class. She didn’t want to be in p.e after singing and performing her heart out, while thinking about her dead grandfather. She wanted to be home more than anything, she wanted to be under her covers again. She looked at the time on her phone and knew she still had 2 more hours in school.
She texted her mom, ‘can I leave school early?’ She knew it was a stretch for her to go home, but she was done being around people with how she was feeling. Luna started walking toward the locker rooms, she felt the buzz of her phone. She was scared about what her mom was saying, she unlocked her phone to read the text, ‘no. You said you wanted to go school, stay in school.’ That broke her heart.
