Time Tells All

He looked around since he was looking for our car and looking for the police since he saw the car parked right across the street from the apartment. Luna felt like the good moment was gone. Clearly both Officers Collins and Morgan saw Luna’s change in mood and they looked out the window and they saw him too.
“Before you guys do anything, can I try talking to him first?”
“Luna, you know that’s not the smartest decision.”
“You can be behind the door, but I know he will listen to me.” Both the police were concerned with her statement. Officer Morgan was behind the door, Officer Collins was still on the couch but he was in a position that no one could see him. Luna opened the door.
“Luna, my sweet child. Are you okay? I have been calling your mom but she keeps saying that I am not allowed to speak with you right now. What is going on?”
“Dad, go home. You did a lot of bad things recently.”
“No, I didn’t. You don’t understand, this is my time with you and your mother is taking that from me.”
“Dad, if I went with you…what would we be doing today? Did you have anything planned?”
“Well no, but I would have come up with something, you know that.”
“No you wouldn’t, especially when you told me that you aren’t working so please go home.”
“Let me guess, Marc is watching you do this. What a coward, he isn’t your father Luna. You don’t have to listen to him.”
“He isn’t here and he isn’t telling me to say anything. This is me. Please just go.”
“How about we go for a quick ride to talk?”
“No thank you.”
“No? Why not?” Before Luna could speak again, Officer Collins moved up to be seen.
“Luna, is this dear ole dad?”
“Yes sir, this is my dad, Blake Ramos. He was just leaving. Right?”
“Who the hell are you? Why are you with my daughter? Luna, did you call them on me?”
“No dad, I didn’t. They have been with me all day, we have been having fun for a while and you are taking the fun away.” Her dad tried to barge into the apartment but that was why Luna told Officer Morgan to go behind the door to help with the strength that she didn’t have.
“Luna, let me in now!”
“You know I can’t do that. Please dad, just leave. I don’t want you getting in any more trouble.”
“You are my daughter and I don’t like knowing that you are alone with a grown man. So let me in NOW!” Once he raised his voice at her. Officer Morgan came out from behind the door.
“Sir, your daughter asked you to leave. Now, are we going to escort you off the property or will it be willingly?” Luna felt sad because he rarely yelled at her. She went to the room to grab her phone to call her mom to let her know that her dad was at the door and that Officer Collins and Morgan were talking to him. Luna was holding back her tears. She could hear the anger in his voice with that ‘now’. Luna came back and she saw the door closed and locked but she also saw Officer Collins not in the living room.
“Where is Collins?”
“He is talking to your dad, grown up to grown up. Are you okay? I know when he yelled at you, it scared you a little.”
“He doesn’t yell at me like that. He has never yelled at me out of anger, frustration if I am not listening to him but this was a different kind of feeling.”
“You know it was very brave of you for standing up to him. I know it wasn’t easy.”
“What is going to happen now since he showed up without letting anyone know again?”
“Well, I assume Officer Collins is telling him the amount of trouble that he will get in if he tries to do this again. Luckily, you already knew the trouble if he did so you already know that he needs to be spoken to for this bad behavior just like you do if your mom caught you doing something you shouldn’t do.”
“Yeah, I get it. I am just worried about him.”
“Don’t be. I know you called your mom to let her know everything happening here. Did she say she was coming over?”
“No, she said that she trusted you guys with me. She will call me if you guys have to leave.”
“Well, we will come back tomorrow afternoon around this time to make sure he doesn’t try again.” So she will be all alone tomorrow, which means she will be able to sing random songs, play loud music and all of that. She was okay with that.
“Okay, thank you again.” As she said that, she could hear her mom downstairs. Clearly her dad hasn’t left yet so she is yelling at him to get lost. Luna opened the door and was watching from the porch.
“GOD! BLAKE JUST LEAVE! THIS IS HARASSMENT NOW!”
“Shut up Jen! I wanted to see the daughter that you are keeping from me! You don’t know what I had planned for her yet you took her from me!”
“Yeah? What?! You are broke! Unemployed…AGAIN! You are behind on child support! $5 says you would take her to Laurissa’s and make her lie to me…AGAIN!” Yikes, this is about to get ugly.
“YOU KNOW NOTHING! NOT EVERYTHING IS ABOUT YOU!”
“YOU LET YOUR DAUGHTER BELIEVE ITS HER FAULT THAT YOU’RE SINGLE A**HOLE!” Ouch! Luna felt that from her spot, she wanted to say something but she didn’t know what. She just said the first thing that popped into her head.
“Can you both stop for once and look how it makes me feel! None of my other friends have this problem, can you both just shut up about it all and go away!” Luna slammed the front door and she could tell that it got them to notice how hurt she was. She heard no more screaming. She looked at Officer Morgan with anger in her eyes.
