Work Time cont.

When she got inside the apartment, she went to her room and started searching up ‘what is anxiety?,’ ‘is there a cure for it?,’ ‘how do you know when you are having an anxiety attack?’ As Luna was writing all these questions all her answers were bringing her to the same response of talking to her doctor, but she knew that wouldn’t be helpful because her mom is always with her when she goes to the doctor so that won’t help at all for her. She wanted answers but she knew what would happen if she asked. She heard the door open, she didn’t know which parent it was, if it was Marc then she was good but if it was her mom, she was questioning where those 20 minutes went.
“Luna, you here?” Thank goodness, it was Marc.
“Yeah, I just got home. Mom wanted me to be at her job when I got off the bus. I was putting my bag down to walk Chewie.” All true statements, except the timing of it was 85% accurate.
“Oh, okay. Just wanted to check because he was howling when we got in.” She looked at Chewie with the look of betrayal even though he was one of the reasons she knew someone was home. She started putting Chewie’s harness on him to make it easier for her to think about how she was going to talk about it all. She took Chewie outside before her mom got home because then her timing of everything would be correct. When she got upstairs, her mom wasn’t home which made everything easier. She took the harness off and went back to her room.
“Before you go to your room, why did you want to go home early today?” Her heart dropped because she wasn’t expecting this question from Marc, her mom it was understandable.
“I wasn’t feeling okay in any way possible.” All true.
“You can’t expect to just come home whenever you want.” It's not like she left school and walked home even though she wanted to but if she did then she would have bigger issues to deal with.
“I didn’t leave, all I did was call mom from the nurse’s office to see if I could go home. I didn’t walk home, I stayed in school and had all my friends confused on what was wrong.” This was probably the first time she snapped back at Marc but she had her reasons that he didn’t understand.
“Why? What was so wrong that you wanted to miss school?”
“I stood completely frozen for what I was told for 10 minutes and I had to be scared to get out of my zoned out way. I went to the nurse because I was already missing that one class and on my way there I broke down crying and I don’t know why still. When I told mom, all she said was try to focus but I am staying in school. The person that took me to the nurse was confused as to why I was still in school, which was my own question. I was sad all day, I hardly remember today, I was lucky to have written all the work without realizing it because the day was going completely slow for me to the point that I was glad that my friend picked me up from my classes or I would still be in school in my head.” She finally breathed. She wasn’t expecting to say all that as fast as she did.
