Say Hi to Grandma cont.

She went back to her room and started unpacking. She heard something hitting her window, she raised the blinds and it was Derek. He was gesturing to her to come down and hang out with them. She gestured to hold on.
“Hey, quick question. Can I hang out with some friends that are in the complex?”
“You already made friends with them?”
“More like they came to me first, so can I?”
“Well, how do you know they are free?”
“They are currently waiting for me outside the apartment. The proof is outside my window.” Her mom went to her room and saw Derek talking with a bunch of kids from the bus stop.
“Fine, but don’t stay out late.”
“Thanks.” She grabbed her phone, put a different shirt on and a hoodie and ran out the door. She was glad to be outside to catch a breath of fresh air. Derek had gathered a bunch of us, she recognized some of the kids around us but she didn’t want to focus on it.
“Look who’s back? Did you miss us?” Luna rolled her eyes as she shoved him a little.
“Totally, after our last conversation I fell madly in love with you and your brother. No, there was a change in my plans so I came home early, did you miss me since you noticed I was gone?” That caught him off guard because he started blushing a little. Oh no! Not another guy that Luna has to worry about.
“Shut up! So we are playing manhunt, you in short stack?”
“I’m down, haven’t played it in awhile so catch me up.” She looked at Derek’s features and she couldn’t understand how he and Aaron were twins, the only thing they had in common was the nose. Their eyes were completely different colors, but also Aaron was a whole year older so Luna didn’t understand why anyone called them twins. Luna needed some fun, after spending 90% of last week being inside all day being outside was good for her. She was glad to have some friends in the complex because she didn’t have to stay home all the time. After several rounds of manhunt, she noticed it was getting dark and even though they were playing around the apartment she didn’t want any issues. The one good thing is that there was one rule, no using your home to hide because Luna lived close and so did 4 other people and as she was playing she got to know them all too. One was Lucy and she lived near the entrance of the complex, the sisters Jessica and Tabitha, they lived above Lucy with their grandparents, then Kaley who remembered Luna from the first day of school.
“Hey guys, I’m gonna head home. I still have a mountain of clothes to deal with, but thanks for the fun.” Everyone screamed bye to Luna as she was leaving. She was glad that she had some friends.
